Home Sweet Home YouthBuild

Home Sweet Home YouthBuild (HSH YouthBuild) is a Mid City-based chapter of YouthBuild USA. YouthBuild provides job training in conjunction with educational support offered through the YouthBuild Charter School of California (YCSC) system. YCSC is a WASC-accredited project-based high school serving young people ages 16–24 who previously left or were pushed out of the traditional school system without a diploma.

Huma House

Huma House is an LA-based, community-led grassroots organization that addresses the crisis of incarceration through powerful alternatives such as art exhibitions, garden workshops, mentoring, and summer programs. Designed and implemented by mentors with lived experience, Huma House’s youth programs provide creative methods of care to system impacted youth and previously incarcerated people.

Big Dogg

Big Dogg’s Gang and Violence Prevention Academy of Los Angeles serves high risk and high need youth and young adults by offering a unique approach to educating and mentoring. Big Dogg incorporates an entertaining, educational experience that incorporates essential life skills, criminal justice education, mentoring and engaging activities that specifically relate to youth living in neglected environments.

Broken, Mended, and Restored

Broken, Mended, and Restored, Inc. (BMAR) is a faith-based non-profit Christian organization with a mission to heal and restore individuals, families and church communities affected by abuse, trauma and violence. Located in Los Angeles, BMAR is led by Rev. Dr. Lisa Tunstall.
